Gerard Ihle

Gerard Frederick Ihle, 82 of Sanford passed away Wednesday February 21, 2024. A funeral mass will be held in Glendale, NY with a memorial in Sanford at a later date.

Jerry was born in Queens, NY a son of the late Frederick Ihle and Rose Tramposch Ihle. Jerry loved his sports including golf, the New York Mets and the Brooklyn Dodgers. He was a model train enthusiast, building a model town for his trains at Christmas. He enjoyed reading and gardening but most of all he loved his family as he cared for his mother who lived to be 103.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Susan Kehl Ihle; daughter, Marybeth Ihle; and a brother, John Ihle.
